Happy Birthday Alex!

Alex turned 13 yesterday! So hard to believe that my baby is a teenager.

Mommy and Daddy each got Alex a special gift for his big day. Daddy gave him a tool box filled with tools and other necessities that a young man needs...A hatchet, duct tape, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.

For Alex's party, he choose a Star Wars theme movie party. We had a private showing of "Star Wars, The Phantom Menace" at a nearby theater with the actual party in their party room.

I spent a few days before the party getting the food around. Most everything was Star Wars themed.
We had sloppy joes, along with "Edible Ewoks", "Obi Wan Kabobies", "Vader Veggies", "Wookiee Cookies", "Han Solo in Carbonite jello", "Light Saber Pretzels", "Princess 'Lays' Potato Chips", "C3PO H2O", and "Yoda Soda".

The cake was so fun to make.

We had so many friends and family turn out for the party.

Mommy's special gift to Alex was a Star Wars quilt with some of the characters embroidered onto the squares and his name embroidered in the center.

Opening the rest of his presents. He loved them all!

We sent everyone home with a Star Wars themed goodie bag full of candy and little toys.

To complete the birthday fun, we had an impromptu sleepover with a few of the boys that rode with us to the party. Alex says, "hey, let's just have them spend the night!"
Sure, why not? You're only 13 once!

The night centered around Legos... of course.

Happy Birthday Alex! We love you!
