Snow Tubing Adventure!

We have kind of started a new tradition of going snow tubing on President's Day.
We had quite the adventure this year. We planned on meeting some friends near home and following each other up..kind of a caravan of sorts. Well, like usual, nothing quite goes as planned.
Our car decided to break down. So thankful for friends and family that were willing to carpool.
As we were driving up, we were following Walter. Just up the road, we saw a hitch hiker. There was no room, not to mention the fact that we don't pick up hitchhikers. Mr. Hitchhiker put his thumb out for Walter. Walter drove by and the guy kept his thumb out for the next passer-by...us.
Well, he turned around and saw us driving in a mini van. He pulled his thumb back in fast as lightening. We joked that he must have thought he was too good to ride in the minivan. He preferred trying to get a ride in Walter's fancy Jeep. We laughed about that for quite a while.

Getting ready to go tubing!

"Mommy, take a picture of us pretending to open these lockers."

So excited!

Double Excited!

Go Alex!

Ready to go again!

Posing for the camera!

Daddy needed a break!

Going Up.

...and up.

Looking out over the resort.

The Adventure Center

Waiting to go down.

Here we go!

Yee-Haw!

On the way home we saw a guy making a heart (I think it said "I (heart) you") in the snow and coloring it with red water. We wondered what he could be up to? Proposing? Maybe.
We honked and waved.

Once we were back in town, we stopped at the mechanic to check on our car. Hopefully just a thermostat and all will be right again.
All in all, it was a good day!
