After telling the kids about our plans for NYC, we packed our stuff with the intentions of leaving early the following morning. We kept the fact that we were going via Greyhound bus a secret from the kids until we pulled into the bus station.
They were definitely surprised!
We were supposed to leave on the 8:00 bus for NYC, but found upon our arrival that there was a problem with the bus and it would not arrive until 11:00, so we had 3 hours to wait.
We ended up walking around Binghamton until it was time to leave.

The ride down was great. We were blessed with a spacious bus and not many passengers.
It was so nice not to have to worry about maps and road signs. We just sat back and relaxed.
Nater fell asleep on my lap while Alex and Niyah wrote in their journals.
The kids faces lit up as we approached the New York City skyline.
They couldn't wait to begin our adventure in NYC!
